무시하다: 

1. (존재나 가치를 알아주지 않다) ignore, disregard, neglect, pass over

• 내 의견은 무시되었다.
  My opinion was passed over.

• 제가 보낸 이메일은 그냥 무시하세요.
  Please disregard the email I sent to you.

• 나는 그의 비난을 무시해 버렸다.
  I let his criticism roll off my back.

• 우리는 또 다른 테러의 가능성을 무시할 수 없다.
  We cannot neglect the possibility of a recurrence of terrorist attacks.

• 모두가 내 충고를 무시했다.
  My advice fell on everyone's deaf ears.

• 그녀는 나를 못 본 척 무시했다.
  She looked straight[right] through me.

2. (업신여기다) slight, (formal) disdain, look down on

• 그가 나를 무시했다.
  He looked down on me.
  He put me down.

• 무시당하는 기분이다.
  I feel like I'm being slighted [passed over, overlooked].

• 가진 것 없다고 사람 무시하지 마라.
  Don't look down on [condescend to] people just because they don't have anything.

• 그는 무시할 수 없는 상대다.
  He is a force to be reckoned with.

일축하다, 묵살하다: 

1. (제안·부탁 등을) refuse [reject, turn down, dismiss] flatly

• 경영진은 우리의 요구를 일축했다.
  The management flatly rejected our demands.

2. (소문·의혹 등을) dismiss, reject

• 그는 소문이 전혀 사실이 아니라며 일축했다.
  He utterly rejected the rumor as nothing even close to the truth.

• 그의 기량은 사람들의 우려를 일축해 버릴 만큼 뛰어났다.
  His talent was at a level that canceled out everyone's worries.
