The Securites and Exchange Commission exploded a blockbuster on the financial world late yesterday when it made the above charge in a 127-page report on the operations of the American Stock Exchange.
The SEC report accused the exchange of tolerating lax management and said that if it does not act quickly to adopt major reforms the commission might exercise its broad supervisory powers. ...
